Editorial Magazine Spread
Connecting the live experience of a Heavy Metal concert performed by Metallica the magazine is laid out and transitions similarly as the show does. Starting from black and working into an explosion of pyrotechnics revealing the band as they perform.
The goal is to emerge the reader into the magazine as if they are actually present. at the show as the read the article.
Similar to the rest of the editorial the main article is more of a presence back stage giving the pages a textured look like side notes or last second changes to a song.
In the final draft reorganizing and resizing of text and imagery was made for a more cohesive design, better read, as well as more realistic feel.
